CGS Pet Services was founded by the owner Chris in late 2016 after completing a foundation degree in animal management at Sparsholt College. Since childhood Chris has had a passion for all animals and especially the bond that exists between people and their beloved pets.
Chris has gained over a decade of experience working with a wide variety of animals in the domestic, zoo and aquatic industries, and is also a registered volunteer dog walker with the Cinnamon Trust.
CGS Pet Services is run by animal lovers for animal lovers, with every service individually tailored to your pets needs. We understand how difficult it can be to leave your much loved pets in the care of others and are always happy to discuss any requirements in order to provide your pets with the best care and give you that essential peace of mind. Some Notes on How We Run Our Dog Walks...
Meet & Greet
As part of of our service we like to meet our new customers and their pets prior to beginning any walking, drop-in visits or holiday care. This provides a good opportunity to get to know your pets a little and for us to answer any questions you may have about our services. During the visit we will also go over a short questionnaire which allows us to make note of any important information such as nutritional requirements and allergies, favourite toys, fears and social traits regarding interactions with other dogs. Any special requirements for your pets will be catered for to the best of our ability to do so.
All equipment required for walks can be provided by CGS, although in most instances using your dog's usual harness, lead and equipment helps to create enjoyable and stress free walks for all dogs.
Canine Social Discretion
When on group walks we prefer to match dogs by temperament, age and size to ensure their suitability as play mates and that the pace of each walk is suited to each dog out with us. Each individual is assessed for suitability for group and paired walks before any walking takes place. We understand that some dogs prefer to be walked alone and also offer individual one-to-one walks.
Procedure During Dog Walks
While out on group walks our policy is to limit to a maximum of 4 dogs per walker. We find that this way we are able to give each dog the proper attention and interaction they really need and also have plenty of help on hand if there is a problem in the field.
All dogs out adventuring with CGS will have a temporary tag fitted to their collar or harness containing our contact details in case they wander too far and get lost.
CGS Pet Services is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Users contacting us do so at their own discretion and provide any such personal details requested at their own risk. Your personal information is kept private and stored securely until a time it is no longer required or has no use. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.

Users are advised that they use any social media at their own discretion and note that the social media platform may track and save your request to share a web page respectively through your social media platform account.
Controlling your personal information
You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
You may request details of personal information which we hold about you at any time. You may also request for any personal information which we hold electronically to be securely destroyed. You can make these requests by emailing email@example.com
If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
All personal details which CGS Pet Services hold are stored in hard copy in a locked filing cabinet. All electronic details, used solely for invoicing and contacting the customer, are stored securely, on a security protected computer & mobile device.
Contact details and the details of any emergency contacts are only used to contact you should the need arise. CGS Pet Services need these emergency contact details in the event of a change of circumstances during the care of your pet, for example in an emergency.
On termination of services, any electronic details which CGS Pet Services hold will be deleted. Hard copies of your personal data will remain securely stored for 24 months. After this period they will be safely destroyed. We hold this data once services are terminated, as evidence should a claim be made against us. Financial records of payment made will continue to be held for tax purposes, but any account details will not be retained.
No information held by us will be shared with any other party for marketing or advertising purposes. No data held will be sold or distributed. Confidentiality is paramount.
